The Road to Hell series welcomes author Kathy Bosman

Please welcome Author Kathy Bosman onto the Road to Hell. Kathy is the author of Dragonfly Moments. Other books written by Kathy are Wedding Gown Girl, Reminding Me of You, Cosmetic Heart, Three Tiers for Win and a story in the Love and Diamonds Anthology.

Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Kathy’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL  Yeah, you wish! ;-D

Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Kathy…

***

GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?

KATHY: 1. My maiden name was Sparks. 2. I’m addicted to chocolate. 3. I have very small feet.

GRACEN: What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?

KATHY: It may sound boring, but I love knitting while watching movies. I also enjoy beading and sometimes other handcrafts. Hiking, golf and yoga are some of the physical activities I enjoy.

GRACEN: Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?

KATHY: I need a neat environment to work and like my digital photo frame to be on. I prefer silence and must have a glass of water nearby.

GRACEN: Glad to hear I'm not the only one who prefers silence when I write! If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?

KATHY: Whoa! I’ve never ever considered that before. I’m quite a shy person who’d rather follow than take the lead so I’d probably appoint someone else to do the dirty work for me. Someone very clever and ruthless.

GRACEN: Ha! I know just how you feel, I'm shy and extremely uncomfortable taking the lead as well. If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?

KATHY: God is very different to what religion often makes Him out to be.

GRACEN:  I can't disagree there. What genre do you write and why that genre?

KATHY: I write sweet, contemporary romance but have started to write contemporary fantasy. I’ve tried other genres but this seems to be what I flow in the easiest.

GRACEN: For those who are not yet familiar with Dragonfly Moments, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?

KATHY: Dragonfly Moments is a story about a woman (Tessa) who’s obsessed with having her own family and would rather stay with a man for stability than love. When a crush from her younger days comes back into her life, she’s not ready to confront the feelings he still stirs up in her. Only when things around her start to crumble and he stands by her, does she open up her heart. But her obsession stands in their way. Dragonfly Moments is book 1 of The Creators series. I wanted to write books about people in creative careers. Tessa is an artist. Book 2, called “The Dance of the Firefly” will come out later this year. The heroine in that book is a dancer.

GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?

KATHY: I have a Christmas book coming out at the end of the year and at the moment am working on a Halloween story. I’ve also started writing a different genre under a pseudonym.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.

KATHY: My books are tender, sweet and sensual, touching the heart.

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.

KATHY: As one of my readers said – if you want a “sweet” fix, you should read my books.

GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?

KATHY: To be honest, I usually Google for research. The only interesting thing I’ve ever done was watch “The Black Swan” while writing, “The Dance of the Firefly.” I don’t usually like horrors but I watched this movie to get the “ballet” feel plus I bought a ballet exercise DVD and learned some steps. I also read my daughter’s ballet book.

GRACEN: Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?

KATHY: That’s a hard one. I think my favourite two were Kienna from Wedding Gown Girl and Win from Three Tiers for Win.

GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?

KATHY: I think Kienna from Wedding Gown Girl as she’s a lot like me or Rowena from The Dance of the Firefly. I would love to watch Rowena dance.

GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?

KATHY: Maybe Mark in Dragonfly Moments.

GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?

KATHY: What was the hardest book to write?
I think my Christmas story as I was going through a tough time at the time of writing it.

GRACEN:  Thanks so much for joining us, Kathy!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!

KATHY: Thank you, Gracen, for having me on your blog!

Blurb:

Seven years earlier, a young and serious Tessa Calitz wrote a letter to free spirit Ryan le Roux promising her undying love. As time passed she forgot about that letter...but Ryan did not.

When he walks back into her life, Tessa is in a relationship and busy setting up her art gallery in Johannesburg. She has plans to start a family, and the arrival of Ryan throws her for a spin. He is the worst thing that could happen to her dream of stability...or is he?

When everything she clung to starts to crumble, Ryan is right beside her to inspire her to greater things. But her compulsion for having marriage and children on her terms alone pushes Ryan away--until she falls in love with an orphaned baby.

What can Ryan do to make Tessa realize that being with him is what her heart has longed for all along?

Here's a trailer of the book for a foretaste: Dragonfly Moments Book Trailer

Excerpt:

The swish of the door opening wider and the squeak of rubber-soled shoes on the polished floor caught her attention. A customer. Precious gold—so rare and so needed. Turning to face her potential sale, she put on a bright smile…that turned to jelly. The breath froze in her lungs.

“Ryan. Is that you?” she said with a whisper.

The man who had filled her dreams and inspired her whole art career years ago stood before her, taller, broader, tanned, and smiling wide. She had somehow thought he’d disappeared off the globe. Not much had changed. That slight curl to his hair, the dark halo a perfect frame for his broad-jawed, rugged face. Thick, velvet locks, the color of dew-soaked mountains and earth. Piercing eyes, like planets orbiting her heart. The longing of years seemed to converge on this particular moment. She pulled back, frightened by the intensity of her feelings.

“I like your new gallery.”

She shivered and clasped her chiffon top close to her chest. His voice had deepened over the years. He had matured like she had grown up, changed, and moved on.

“Thanks. I’ve been open for three months already.”

Her voice came out like a squeak. Her palms were moist and her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth. She couldn’t keep her eyes off him. He truly was the best artwork in the world—the way his body moved—the whole picture of him.

“May I?” He pointed to the art she’d spent days arranging perfectly on the walls.

“Of course.”

He paused before each painting as she held her breath, longing to read his mind on what he thought of them. Then he spent longer before her latest work. She moved up behind him and stared at the misty oil canvas in muted colors of a figure standing on a pier, overlooking a churning sea. The man appeared pensive and peaceful with the grey, choppy waves around him and the dark, billowing clouds above him. She followed the shape of the real man in front of her with her gaze. Who would have thought he would come here? All these years, she’d figured him gone forever. Buried under new dreams and desires. Little did she know her need for him could resurrect just with a brief encounter.

“How come they’re all landscapes?”

She shrugged. “Landscapes are my genre.”

Except for those crazy mother and child paintings stashed away at home that no-one’s ever seen. Days and days of her spare time were taken away painting a picture of an African mother with her newborn twins, a Chinese mother with a toddler in a pram, and the hippie mom with her baby in a pouch attached to her middle. The feeling bubbling inside her while she painted them had been unsurpassed by any other. What would Ryan think of them? It was safer that he didn’t know. Better he believe she was a landscape painter and nothing else.

He moved on to one of the other artists’ works. Did he hate her landscapes? Why did it matter to her so much what he thought of her art? Not like she still loved him. Not after all these years. But he had inspired her art in a way—got the ball rolling because she used to spend hours sketching him while he romanced her best friend and roommate, Annie. That felt like decades ago, yet was only seven years. Ryan had been the highlight of her waking hours then, her shy and aimless period when she worked in a mindless job for little pay, before she realized she could study her passion. Art.

“Where are your sketches?” he asked.

She frowned. “They’re at home. I stopped sketching my second year in college because that’s when I developed my best painting style. My sketches didn’t get me top marks.”

“But they’re so realistic.”

“You never looked at them.”

“I’ve studied the one. Constantly.”

She turned away, her face hot and the hairs rising on her arms in a wash of tingles. Had he come into the gallery on purpose? She strode to her desk, reaching it in a moment, relishing the distance between them. If Ryan could evoke such feelings in her now when she was with another man, would she ever be free from his grip? The heat of the room suffocated her, and she tried to take in several breaths. If only she had the power to block out the effect he had on her. So, he’d been thinking of the letter she sent him. The same one that disclosed her heart’s feelings toward him. Too late to come here now and talk about it. Stir up feelings she had no right feeling anymore. And why all the questions about her art? As if he really cared. Ryan didn’t care. If he did, he’d have come back to her years ago.

Truth or Dare by Elizabeth Morgan

Truth or Dare?

Blurb:
Do you dare tell the truth?

A tequila fuelled game of Truth or Dare is not Dani’s idea of fun, but when Cameron, the jerk who rejected her a year ago is the one provoking her into playing, how can she say no? Not that he’s giving her the option in the first place.

Bravado compels her forward, but when the dares get physical and their friends leave them alone, Cameron’s questions turn to her feelings for him, and unfortunately, lying is not part of the game.
Will a dare give Dani the courage she needs to tell Cameron the truth?
~ * ~
Excerpt:
“Fine, I will take a dare.” I glanced at Ben. “What do you want me to do?”
A wicked grin spread across his lips. It was almost as sexy as his brother’s. “I want you to lick salt off Cameron, and then take the lime from his mouth.”
He had to be fucking kidding. “What?”
“You heard the man.” The amusement ran clear in Cameron’s voice.
An idiotic bout of nerves skipped through me. “And do I dare ask where I will be drinking the tequila from?”
Ben’s gaze flicked to Cameron, who I couldn’t bring myself to look at. Holding up my hand, I cut Ben off before he suggested anything else.
“Never mind. I’ll do it.” Untangling my legs, I slid off the sofa, levelling a look at Cameron.
He pulled his T-shirt over his head, and my mouth dried at the way his six-pack rippled with each movement. He was solid, perfect. His skin was a healthy bronze. A fine dusting of dark hair ran from his navel and crept down into his jeans. I couldn’t help but follow the teasing path with my gaze….
“See something you like?”
Did I ever. I hated to admit it, but he was the kind of guy you just wanted to lick—well, anything off of.
“Nope. I’m just wondering why removing your top is necessary. Scared I’m going to spill my drink on your T-shirt?”
His lips turned upward. “Man told you to lick salt off me, but he didn’t say where you would be licking the salt from.”

Cover Reveal of Heat Wave by Taryn Kincaid

BLURB:
Sent into the human realm to retrieve prodigal princess, Zena Night, Bhyrne Raines is shocked and unprepared for his carnal reaction to the sexy succubus. In service to the succubus queen, the rugged enforcer must stifle the instant passion exploding within him. Fulfilling his royal duty doesn’t allow for quickie dalliances. His biological clock is ticking, and he begins to enter breedspawn, an intense and unstoppable frenzy of mating all fire-demon males must endure. But the more he wants to avoid Zena, the more he’s drawn to her.
Reluctant to give up her carefree life of partying among the mortals when the hot-as-sin Bhyrne comes to fetch her for the queen, Zena uses her succubus wiles to entice him, or at least delay the inevitable trip to the royal court. Once in the demon stronghold, hidden deep within the Catskill mountains, she learns the reason for the summons: she must choose a consort within two days.
Zena needs a mate. Bhyrne needs to mate. With time running out for both of them, they each turn to 1Night Stand. With time running out, can Madame Eve come to the rescue?

EXCERPT:
Holy freeze gun, Batman. The words died before she managed to expose them to air. Her mouth snapped shut.
One of the Queen’s guards stood before her, huge and tall, nearly twice the size of most of the other males in the joint, a hella hunka supernatural male. Clearly not human, although Hugo Boss’d to his Adam’s apple in an apparent bid to fit in among the humans trolling for hot sex, illicit drugs, watered-down booze and loud music. Beneath the fabric of the unstructured designer suit, the toned muscles of a demonic warrior rolled like tidal waves. Even without the small lapel pin the uninformed might mistake for the The Rolling Stones’ logo, she’d recognize him for a captain of the guard. Maybe the Queen’s own Captain.
Hellfire and cotton candy. Trouble. T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
But, by the goddess, whattahottie! Despite her certainty that his presence in the club corridor boded ill for her, the force of her sudden hunger shook her.
Like lightning.
Thunder.
A desperate bolt out of the blue.

The Road to Hell series welcomes author Eva Lefoy

Please welcome Author Eva Lefoy  onto the Road to Hell. Eva Lefoy is the author of Sweet Cravings, released by Decadent Publishing.

Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Eva Lefoy’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL  Yeah, you wish! ;-D

Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Eva Lefoy…

~~~
GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?
Eva Lefoy: My favorite beer is Irish Death. Cats over dogs, definitely. And I’m still trying to decide: Colin Firth or Matthew MacFadyen as Mr. Darcy… that’s a tough one. I might just have to watch them both again! Move over and hand me the popcorn!
GRACEN: What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?
Eva Lefoy: Hiking! Yoga and watching Once Upon a Time. Yep. Probably in that order. I grew up hiking around the hills and now that I’ve moved back home (over ten years ago) I’ve started hiking again. Yoga is something I picked up from studies of Eastern religion. It’s a great way to stay focused and create strength – for all that hiking! :) And Once Upon a Time is the ONLY time during the week I turn on the TV.
GRACEN: I like Once Upon a Time, too! Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?
Eva Lefoy: I am a total pantster. The characters must turn me on though, or I can’t really write them. For that reason, I don’t do character worksheets. They are way too boring!
GRACEN: If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?
Eva Lefoy: I’d call the creators of Star Trek and make them help me re-create the future as they did. Really. If I could make everyone wear primary colored uniforms, I would! Just think, no money, sex with alien species…. Heh.
GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?
Eva Lefoy: You’ve gotta figure it out yourself. Really. Oh, and life’s short, so get your ass in gear and get to it!
GRACEN:  Very true words! What genre do you write and why that genre?
Eva Lefoy: Holy moly! What DON’T I write? Let’s see. I write M/M, contemporary, Romcom, SFR, Paranormal, historical, etc. etc. etc. Help!!! I would have to say though that right now M/M is my favorite, since I just sold my first M/M to Decadent Publishing! Wheee!
GRACEN: For those who are not yet familiar with Eva Lefoy, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?
Eva Lefoy: My first book with Decadent is Sweet Cravings, a foodie romance involving whipped cream, stainless steel tables and a bit of *hot* sex. My second book with Decadent will be in their popular One Night Stand series and is a M/M romance set in Mumbai, India. I can’t wait until it comes out!
GRACEN:  That photo is enough to make my tongue start climaxing! Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?
Eva Lefoy: Oddly enough, I’m right now working on another M/M story about werewolves. See, I can’t possibly tell what you genres I DO write, it’s much easier to say which I haven’t. YET.
GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.
Eva Lefoy: Recognition and redemption. Recognition of the truth, whatever form that takes, and redemption of lost hope.
GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.
Eva Lefoy: My Sweet Cravings story is about a full sized woman. Not a size 4. Not a size 6, but a size 16, a size 18. Not a skinny super model! And the hero likes her that way, proving once and for all for readers that the normal sized girls ARE sexy to guys. The cream puffs are just a bonus : )
GRACEN: I personally think women are more attractive when they're not so skinny. And I know a lot of guys agree. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?
Eva Lefoy: Well, I’ve had some weird conversations about tentacles. Don’t go there.
GRACEN: LOL Okay, I won't. Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?
Eva Lefoy: Well, Doth and Justin are two characters that haven’t come to life yet. I would say they are fun, but that’s an understatement. They’re downright wacky! Unfortunately, they kind of took over my brain for a while, so I had to put them on the shelf. They’re sitting there, doing a Beavis and Butthead routine right now, I’m sure.
GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?
Eva Lefoy: Arjun from my One Night Stand, Lover Enslaved. It would be so great to travel to India, see Mumbai and immerse myself in Hindu culture. I know I’d probably have a hard time leaving India though…
GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?
Eva Lefoy: Ranjeet from my One Night Stand, Lover Enslaved. He’s a slick, gun-toting, wrecking ball machine of a man. He has no scruples and no human decency. You wouldn’t invite this fellow over for dinner.
GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?
Eva Lefoy: What is the meaning of life? And the answer is 42.
GRACEN:  You have me extremely curious over the 42 answer. lol Thanks so much for joining us, Eva Lefoy!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!
BLURB:
Sweet Cravings
Riding the waves of a sugar high, Violet Cunningham seduces the town’s newest pastry chef, slathering him with whipped cream in his secret kitchen. But all that is made of sugar melts, and her brazenness vanishes soon after their tryst, leaving her battling old insecurities about her waistline and appetites, courtesy of her mother. Positive she’s only made a fool of herself, she’s mortified when her boss sends her back to sexy Chef Max’s kitchen and into the proverbial frying pan.
After a red-hot date, her chef disappears, and Violet’s emotions simmer to a boil, forcing her to confront the awful truth: there’s more to life than pastry.
EXCERPT:
A tantalizing tongue dragged a searing trail down my lower back and over my tailbone, where it dipped below the panty line. The chef’s succulent lips paused to press a kiss, and I shivered as liquid heat surged through my core. Wetness I’d never experienced before drenched my panties, leaving me breathless. He blazed a path down my cleft and roughly tugged the remaining fabric away. The panties hit my ankles, and I lifted each stiletto heel to step out of them.
He slid his palms up my thighs to my ass and gently pressed me forward, urging me to bend over. The only thing in front of me was a gleaming, tundra-cold, stainless steel table. It didn’t exactly beckon. I leaned over, both hands flat on the table and paused, panting.
He stepped away from me for a second, and I immediately missed his touch. I was about to protest the loss, when he set the bowl of whipped-cream filling on the table in front of me just out of reach, right next to the wall.
Driven toward the sweet smell of sugar like a moth to a layer cake of light, I willingly bent and let my hip bones contact the freezing surface. My hands reached toward the bowl. I’d just dipped my forefinger in and covered it with a nice-sized dollop of cream when his tongue pressed against my exposed sex.
Orgasms floating on fluffy cream clouds formed a tango line inside my loins.
