Wolf's Bane by Ash Krafton Cover Reveal

COVER REVEAL!!

Wolf’s Bane
(Demimonde #3)
Sometimes, when life gives you lemons, all you can do is try to avoid paper cuts.
Since becoming oracle to the demivampire two years ago, advice columnist Sophie has battled werewolves and survived a vampire attack (or two). However, not only was she powerless to save her lover Marek when he slipped to the brink of evolution, she also witnessed his transformation into a falcon, the symbol of Horus United.
Sophie’s quest to save Marek is further complicated when rock star Dierk Adeluf – who also happens to be the king of the Werekind – invites her backstage after a concert. Just when it seems she will find respite from heartache, Sophie is bitten by a werewolf and Dierk decides she is destined to be his queen.
Sophie is caught between the demivamps she loves and the Were who commands her to love him. Throw in his jealous wanna-be girlfriend—a true bitch if ever there was one—and an ambush by witches, and there you have the big mess that Sophie calls her life. And, hello? Her soul mate is still a bird.
She’s supposed to be the girl with all the answers, but Sophie needs more than a little advice–she needs divine intervention.
Forthcoming Spring 2014 via Pink Narcissus Press

EXCERPT
Keller shoved off the bar and strode toward the stage, an invisible bond tethering his chest to the singer. Her voice swirled around him, wrapping him in a cocoon made of hunger, desire, and need. A waitress walked by, her drink tray held high over the crowd. Keller reached up and deposited his untouched beverage. Fake blood would never soothe his cravings. For that matter, no blood, human or animal, had ever taken the edge off. He had little doubt that all of that was about to change.
Eyes that had been full of happiness, as if singing was the only thing that kept her alive, narrowed to slits so thin he could no longer make out their color.
She knew.
He’d thought she was human. Perhaps not. A human would never be able to tell he was a night creature. This new development had Keller even more intrigued.
“Hey, buddy, Watch out.”
Keller kept his fangs hidden, briefly looked away from the singer, and reminded himself not to kill the man wearing a ridiculously oversized hat and an even larger belt buckle who was currently blocking his path.
Reaching out, Keller gripped the man’s shoulder, careful not to squeeze hard enough to break his bones. “Move.” One word, infused with the power of persuasion.
The man blinked and rushed off the dance floor. Keller refocused his attention back to his… His what? He hesitated to use the word mate, but everything inside him screamed that’s exactly who this woman was.
“Big brother. You made it.”
Keller clenched his jaw and fought the tension in his body that wanted nothing more than to pounce on the singer and make her his. Once he felt even a modicum of control, he turned and offered Sage a genuine smile. His sister. Biological or not did not matter.
“Of course I made it.” He said. “You know I can’t deny you anything.” He pulled on Sage’s braid. “Pink?”
Sage hugged him tight. The singer continued to sing. He squelched the urge to turn and watch.
“This week, anyway. Eventually my hair will probably fall out from all this dying.” Sage shrugged. “That’s what wigs are for. Just ask Dolly Parton.”
“Dolly who?”
“Never mind,” Sage said, laughing.
Sage grabbed his hand and guided him back to the bar.
Keller positioned himself so he could see the stage as well as Sage. Sage looked good. Almost peaceful. Almost. A vampire could never truly find peace. Not until the end came, and Keller wondered if far worse awaited on the other side. That depended on which myth one chose to believe.
“So?”
“So, what?” His sister was up to something. Her eyes sparkled. He couldn’t remember the last time he had seen her this happy. Maybe never.
“Do you like her?”
Every muscle in his body stiffened. No. He couldn’t be so transparent that Sage had picked up on his fixation. “Do I like who?” His words were stilted. He cleared his throat.
She swept her arm in a circle. “This place? I’m going to buy it,” she said, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
Keller angled his head. Buying meant staying, didn’t it? “You’re going to buy a pub?”
Sage shoved him playfully. “You’re not in Ireland, Keller. This is Nashville and this pub is called a honkytonk.”
“I’ll try to remember that.”
“But, yes,” she said with a smile. “To answer your question, I am going to buy it. Isn’t it great? We’re going to call it Wolfie’s”
The song ended and the singer stepped down from the stage. Keller tracked her movements as every nerve in his body strained, begging him to act.
Keller cracked his neck. The motion did little to ease his headache. “We? Will I approve of this partner?” He pictured someone taking advantage of Sage’s soft heart. Keller held his words, but he would not allow Sage to buy this place until Keller met her partner and agreed with the terms. Sage was family and her safety trumped her happiness.
The singer marched through the crowd. Her heart beat in time with her footsteps as her boots pounded against the wood floor. Something, probably a knife, glinted under the hem of her skirt. Why the weapon? Her gaze never left his. Keller wore a lazy smile and waited.
Sage jabbed him in the ribs with her elbow. “I hope so, bro. She’s awesome.”
He hadn’t considered that Sage’s partner could be a woman. A thought crept in. Keller eased off the bar and straightened his suit jacket. “I look forward to meeting her.”
Deep red hair bounced as the singer planted her feet and crossed her arms over her chest. She smiled at Sage before she turned to him. The smile disappeared as her lips flattened into a thin line.
Keller breathed deeply—something he rarely did—and his heart, along with another vital organ, jerked to attention.
“Perfect timing,” Sage said. “Keller, I’d like you to meet my partner, and best friend, Josephine Hawk. Josie, this is my brother, Keller.”
The redhead licked her lips and swept her gaze from his head to his feet and back up.
Keller could not hear over the roar in his ears. Yes. Josephine Hawk was indeed the one he had

been waiting for.

A Woman Gone Mad Cover Reveal

I love Kimber! She's a cool chick who doesn't mind speaking her mind. And I'm excited about her upcoming release!

Cover Reveal

Author Bio:

What the hell is up y'all?! I'm Kimber, and I really freaking hope y'all enjoy AWGM! If you get a chance, throw me a review up on my FB page, www.facebook.com/AWGMbyKimberDawn or Goodreads if you loved it! I am a whore for reviews.
Ahh... let's see, what can I tell you about my self... Well, first of all I'm a straight up whore for many, many things. I'm a wine whore, some would say I'm a functional alcoholic, and I'm totally cool with that title. Now the day my cheese completely falls off my cracker and I lose the functional in that title, well yeah never mind. Even then I'll deny that shit. I'm a whore for Victoria's Secret, no seriously, like my VS Angel's Credit Card stays maxed out, hey, they got cool shit. I have a whole lot of hats, meaning I can be called a billon different things, daughter, wife, mother, labor unit nurse, I sell pussy on the side *coughs* that would be persian kittens, thank you you dirty minded scoundrel, I'm also compulsive blackjack addict, book blogger, book pimp, book whore, Jack Daniels is my favorite boyfriend and my biggest dream, the day I'll acknowledge that I've succeeded in life and can a die a happy woman is the day I get to go two stark naked hour round sexual bouts with Jason Statham. *Sighs* I started writing poems and short stories very early in my life, you know for the Michael's and Leo's and Nick's in my life. I've been a book hoarder since I was eleven years old, but then a couple years ago something wonderful happened! The 50 shades of Grey craze brought to life my inner smut whore where I commenced to read anything and everything smut affiliated. When reading wasn't enough any anymore and I noticed that so many of the authors of my favorite books weren't getting the exposure their work deserved I turned it into a mission, starting my own blog, buying their books and reading them one by one, I then wrote my reviews for my blog and didn't hold back in writing them. I've never done a single thing in my life half way, I always go all in. After the success of my Blog, and the insistence of one of my bestest friends, my sister from another mister, Trina Taylor of Bad & DirtyBooks I was ready to finally take the plunge and write the story that's been restlessly clawing to get out of my head and onto paper for a VERY long time. I'm a southern girl to my core, a self proclaimed smut whore, and I guess now we can add aspiring author to my hat collection as well.
Tattooed across my ribs are the words I have always lived by 'Aut viam inveniam aut faciam tibi' Latin for: If I can not find a way, I will make my own.

Synopsis:

Forget everything you know about fairytales. There comes a point in a woman's life when she realizes not everyone gets a happy ending.

Blow after blow, Lillian tries to stay optimistic, but when faced with a choice that could destroy her future, she gives in to the temptation.

When your first true love comes crashing into your happily ever after, you're supposed to walk away. Not fall back in love.

The Road to Hell series welcomes author Deanna Jewel, Romance Author

GIVEAWAY AT END OF POST

Please welcome Author Deanna Jewel onto the Road to Hell. Deanna is the author of Never Surrender, a time travel romance. Other books written by Deanna are No Turning Back, Whispers at Ghost Point (sequel to NTB) and Unleash Your Inner Strength

Now, it’s time to create a little hell and get to the good stuff by revealing all of Deanna’s wicked secrets while on the Road to Hell. LOL  Yeah, you wish! ;-D

Grab your favorite drink, sink your teeth into something decadent, sit back, relax and enjoy getting to know Deanna…

***

GRACEN:  Tell me three things about yourself that we cannot find on the internet or in your bio?

Deanna:  Gracen, thank you for having me as your guest. I can’t wait to chat with your readers! I love paranormal shows, I’m afraid of the dark (LOL), I hate spiders!!

GRACEN: What hobbies and interests do you participate in when you’re not writing?

Deanna:  I enjoy working in the yard, especially when I get stuck in a scene while writing. Get outside somehow reconnects me to my characters and they talk to me again. Maybe that’s their way of telling me it’s time for a break.

GRACEN: Do you have any writing quirks or certain things you MUST have or do before beginning the writing process?

Deanna:  I prefer to be alone when I write and since hubby and I are usually the only two home, that works for me!

GRACEN: If you were plotting to take over the world, how would you do it?

Deanna: Put women in charge of things, first off! We organize our homes, bills, family and usually know what needs to be done before anyone else. I’m sure I’d have a few men interspersed in there somewhere...one would be my husband…we work very well together!

GRACEN: If you could make one statement that the entire planet would hear and remember, what would it be?

Deanna:  Oh shit…my thoughts aren’t that profound but something along the lines of thinking about what you want to achieve in life and make it happen. I’m a firm believer in the power of positive thinking! We can change our lives by changing our thoughts!

GRACEN:  What genre do you write and why that genre?

Deanna:  I’ve made sure not to get locked into just historical, or time travel…each of my books so far is in a different genre. I’m working now on the sequel to Never Surrender, which will be my second contemporary.

GRACEN: For those who are not yet familiar with Deanna Jewel, can you please give us some details about the book and/or series?

Deanna:  I wrote Never Surrender when I visited my brother when he lived in Dubois Wyoming, 9000 feet up in the Rockies near the Shoshone Indian Reservation. I’m not sure how to explain it other than the characters began playing out the book as though it were a movie in my head and I just wrote it all down! It was pretty amazing for the writing of that book.

GRACEN:  Do you have any new stories in the works and can you tell us a bit about it/them?

Deanna:  Readers have been wanting the sequel to Never Surrender ever since it was released back in late 2009. I’ve now had time to concentrate on that book and am loving that the characters are talking to me again.

GRACEN: If you could describe your writing with one word or brief phrase, what would it be? Please delve into the core of your writing to tell us what word or phrase you want readers to take with them when they’ve finished reading your story.

Deanna:  Love can happen a second time! I think that seems to be the theme for all of my books. Perhaps because it happened for me when I wasn’t looking for it and I couldn’t be happier right now. I’m married to a man who is always making me smile and also pushing me to write more books!

GRACEN: What, in your opinion, makes your story unique and what makes it stand out from other stories in your genre? Think of this as a pitch to convince readers to pick up your books.

Deanna: Never Surrender is about souls traveling through time, to show that it IS possible for souls to reincarnate into current bodies. I’ve heard from a few readers who disagree but I’ve heard from many more who know this is possible. I had a Native elder call me from our town where I live to tell me it is definitely something that DOES happen. Talking with him was amazing.

GRACEN: What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever done in the name of research?

Deanna:  I’ve stayed at a haunted hotel in New Orleans to research for the writing of Whispers at Ghost Point and stayed in Wilmington NC, which is where the story takes place. My husband also went with me to stay in Savannah GA before I released Whispers at Ghost Point.

GRACEN: Of all your books, which character did you have the most fun creating and why?

Deanna:  That would Taima, my blue eyed warrior in Never Surrender. He was fun to write and he always gave me insight to his character. He’s a one-woman man…I can’t say more or it will spoil the story line. But his beliefs get tested in the story.

GRACEN: If you had the opportunity to meet just one of your characters in real life, who would it be and why?

Deanna:  I’d love to meet Nathaniel Clairmont from No Turning Back. He’s a duke in London, a captain on his own ship and owns a castle (passed down through his family) at the top of a precipice overlooking the sea. Sailing with him as he stands at the wheel would be an adventure, not to mention more fun at night!

GRACEN: Which of your characters would you never want to meet under any circumstance and why?

Deanna: I wrote a villain in No Turning Back, Langley, and he is a nasty person, hates women who are strong-willed, and tries to control too many situations. I’ve also written him into Whispers at Ghost Point, but readers will have to figure out on their own which character he is.

GRACEN:  If you were interviewing yourself, what is the one question you would ask yourself and please give us the answer to that question?

Deanna:  Are you an old soul?  I think I am because I think I’ve lived before. Perhaps that why I have such a love for the English historicals. I started reading them as a teen and have been lucky enough to correspond with Virginia Henley…one of my favorite authors!

GRACEN:  Thanks so much for joining us, Deanna!  It’s been a treat getting to know you better!

Deanna: Gracen, thank you for having me this week. I can’t wait to read questions or comments from your readers. I also have a contest below so do be sure to get your entries in for a $10 gift card!

GRACEN: My pleasure to have you!
